Which Social Media Platform are YOU?

We’ve ALL spent way too much time filling out the Buzzfeed quizzes that tell us what Harry Potter character (Hermione) or type of dog (golden retriever) we are. Today we’re going to reverse that game and tell you what kind of marketer you are based on your favorite social media platform. And because we can’t quite shake the grip Buzzfeed has on us, we’re also going to include which social media platform your favorite pop culture icons embody.

Tik Tok: The Trendsetter

If Tik Tok is your go-to platform, you’re quick to spot trends and are energized by the fast pace of the viral content landscape. You also are a little bit cynical about being overly “curated.” You thrive on the rhythm of pop culture and are unafraid to take bold steps, making you a versatile, exciting marketer who's always one step ahead.

Tik Tok’s Icon: David Rose from Schitt’s Creek

David Rose  is as Tik Tok as it gets. Trendy, cynical, and a queen of quips, David would rule Tik Tok with her flair for drama and comedy, just as she does in Schitt’s Creek.

Pinterest: The Visionary

Those who favor Pinterest are creative, organized, and thoughtful. You have an uncanny ability to visualize the future and create a roadmap to get there. Your knack for aesthetics and your strong sense of order and harmony make your campaigns visually stunning, consistent, and well planned. You're a dreamer and a doer, turning vision boards into reality.

Pinterest’s Icon: Monica Geller from Friends

With her love for organization, attention to detail, and aesthetic creativity, Monica Geller is the quintessential Pinterest user. Her vision for creating perfection out of chaos is Pinterest personified.

Facebook: The Old School Communicator

If Facebook is your platform of choice, you're likely a great communicator, optimistic, and a little old school. You value open dialogue and excel at building communities. Your approachable style makes it easy for customers to connect with your brand, forging bonds that last.

Facebook’s Icon:  Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec

Leslie Knope is Facebook personified. She is overly optimistic of her tactics, she focuses on building communities, and is a little old school. Her narratives, though stuck in the past, revolve around building relationships and communities - the textbook definition of Facebook.

Instagram: The Curator

Instagram lovers are stylish, trend-conscious, and visually articulate. With an eye for detail and a strong sense of what's 'in', you know how to turn ordinary products into extraordinary experiences. Your campaigns are beautifully executed stories that compel audiences to stop and stare.

Instagram’s Icon: Alexis Rose from Schitt’s Creek

Between her fashionable outfits, trend-conscious attitude, and knack for making any situation look glamorous, Alexis Rose’s life is like a perfectly curated Instagram feed.

Lemon 8: The Shy Artist

Lemon 8 lovers - you are artistic, curious, and feminine. You may like to try new things, but you’re a little worried about the competition of bigger platforms. You take risks, explore, and adapt, making your campaigns fresh, original, and exciting.

Lemon 8’s Icon: Pam Beasly from The Office

Pam Beasley has an artistic spirit, curiosity, and readiness to walk into the unknown. Just like Lemon 8 marketers, she is happy to be a big fish in a small pond!

LinkedIn: the Go-Getter

LinkedIn is the most masculine of the major social media platforms, but that doesn’t mean it’s just for guys! LinkedIn is really great for getting your name out there, networking with influential people, and sharing your two cents about $$$ (and anything related to it).

LinkedIn’s Icon: Ben Wyatt from Parks and Rec

Ben Wyatt is the perfect representation of LinkedIn. He is (sometimes overly) ambitious, career-focused, social, and a little bit cringy. The perfect words to also describe LinkedIn.

Whether you’re a Tik Tok trendsetter or an curated Instagram fan, your favorite social media platform says a lot about your strengths and likes as a marketer!
